Texas Healthcare Foundation ("THF") provides customized managed healthcare and claims management to thousands of employers who have opted out of the Texas workers' compensation system ("Nonsubscribers").

Founded in 1992, THF initially offered Nonsubscribers medical cost containment services such as medical bill auditing, case management, precertification for hospitalizations and utilization review. THF also delivers customized claims management and can recommend comprehensive insurance products to Nonsubscribers, most often at costs substantially below workers' compensation insurance.

Terry Plum, founder, sole owner and chief executive officer, continues to build THF on the simple principle that employers should receive the highest level of customer service and savings while their injured employees receive appropriate healthcare to expedite their return to productive work. As a result, THF's Managed Healthcare and Claims Management programs are designed so THF only earns a fee when a customer realizes actual, documented savings. Does this approach work? The proof is in the results. THF has processed over 1,270,000 work-related medical bills from all over Texas with bottom-line savings currently averaging 50%+ off medical bills: more than $187 million in savings for Nonsubscribers! Customized programs featuring immediate and continuous communications to guide the injured employee, the employer and medical providers reflect THF's commitment to exceeding the expectations of their customers.

THF's Managed Healthcare and Claims Management operations are centralized in Lewisville, Texas, a suburb within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Everyone is always cheerful and diligent in their assistance. Responsiveness: "can do" attitude and follow through; pleasant staff; fact that you provide excellent service and you do not "over sell." Thanks for your willingness to change when we change! Great job!

When our Plan was implemented, management was determined that it would be administered as the employee benefit it was truly established to be, and that commitment has been consistently maintained through subsequent management changes. Partnering with Texas Healthcare Foundation has been critical to the success of our Plan. I have not dealt with anyone at THF who has not been professional, helpful and caring.
Grant Prideco

Processing injury claims and managing the care and recovery process of our injured employees requires a great amount of clear communication in order to assure that the employee, employer and treating medical personnel all remain fully informed of the process and all are working together in accomplishing a quick and full recovery. Whether it is providing information or accommodating any special requests or whatever may be asked of her, our designated claims examiner is always more than willing to do whatever it takes to assist LSO.
